Team Divisions

How do you determine your team division?

To help be evenly filled in divisions and to achieve parity across all teams, we will be using a weighted average rating of your team members to decide which division your team belongs. We currently have 4 divisions and each division will comprise of at least 5 teams with a double round robin format of play. Each team plays the other teams of the division twice during the league season, once as home and once as a guest.

About Us

Richmond Racquet League (RRL)  is one of the oldest recreational tennis league in the Greater Richmond area. We have more than 300 players competing in match play during our seasons. Our goal is for teams to compete with each other and have fun playing and meeting new people and enjoying the time they spend with their team mates, and finally promote the game of tennis in Richmond.

Our player rating is based on the NTRP rating system and the divisions are designed so that you will play with and against players of similar abilities. Our spring league is one of the biggest and is open to all ages, men or women.

As a RRL league player, you will have access to our online website, that manages all the league play data and provide you with ability to track your performance. So get started today and join our leagues!
